Read in full (open NTRS PDF, loop-3 pass 39). The rectenna element improved under the study (higher-impedance microwave circuit, higher DC load resistance, improved diodes) reached 'an efficiency of 90.5 ± 0.5 % at the 8 watt input level and 79.5 ± 0.5 % at the 50 milliwatt level', and 45 % at 1 mW, at 2450 MHz; the certified overall DC-to-DC transmission efficiency of March 1975 at Raytheon was 54 %; the Goldstone demonstration converted over 82 % of the microwave power impinging on a 264 ft² rectenna into over 30 kW of DC over 1.6 km. The 90.6 % the later reviews quote is not in this report — its own element figure is 90.5 ± 0.5 %.
