Read in full (open PDF hosted by USEA). Section 7.2.6: Nordjylland unit 3 (415 MWe, commissioned 1998, once-through USC Benson tower boiler, double reheat, 580 °C / 580 °C / 580 °C at 29 MPa) 'reaches 47% net electrical efficiency (LHV) in power only mode, and is currently (Dec 2014) the world's most efficient PCC unit' (citing Morrison 2011, Poulsen & Bendixen 2006, Vattenfall 2014); low-temperature (10 °C) seawater cooling, high superheat and double reheat named as the reasons. Table 4 (Poulsen & Bendixen 2006, 2005 results): power-only mode at 100 % load, condensing, 10 °C cooling water — generator 411 MWe, auxiliaries 26 MWe, 385 MWe to the 400 kV grid, boiler efficiency 94.2 %, heat rate 7151.4 kJ/kWh on generator output, thermal efficiency (400 kV to grid) 47.2 %; CHP mode 339.5 MWe + 422 MJ/s district heat, 90 % total. The table labels the coal's 26 MJ/kg a gross calorific value while the text gives the fuel as 25.2 MJ/kg LHV / 26.4 MJ/kg HHV, so the 47.2 % row's basis is not unambiguous; the 47 % (LHV, net, power-only) statement of §7.2.6 is the figure the atlas records.
