Boiling-water reactor plant
A light-water reactor whose coolant boils in the reactor vessel: the steam–water mixture leaves the core, passes two stages of moisture separation and goes by steamline to the main turbine-generator; the exhaust is condensed and pumped back to the vessel. The same circuit is reactor coolant and turbine working fluid — the defining distinction from a pressurised-water reactor, whose steam generator makes a separate secondary steam.
