Read (open NTRS PDF, loop-3 pass 41 close). Cesium-seeded H₂–O₂ combustion MHD generator in a neon-cooled cryomagnet (fields above 5 T; peak used 5 T): the combustion chamber and nozzle are water-cooled copper, 'the nozzle is designed for Mach 2 at the 4.96 cm diameter exit', stagnation pressures 5–20 atm, feeding 'a diverging circular cross section duct having an inlet Mach number of 2' of 42 copper electrodes in a Hall configuration; power output proportional to the square of the B-field; 8.74 kW (run 407) rising to 11.7 kW (run 413) when the front power takeoff moved downstream. The channel velocity is the combustor's own gas-dynamic expansion — no separate pump or compressor supplies it.
